NGC 6712 – Globular cluster in Scutum, magnitude 8.1, size 9.8’.

NGC 6826 – Planetary Nebula in Cygnus, magnitude 9.8 with a central star magnitude of 10.4, size 38”. Also known as the Blinking Planetary

NGC 6822 – Galaxy in Sagittarius, magnitude 9.3, size 15.6’ X 13.5’.

NGC 6543 – Planetary nebula in Draco, magnitude 8.8, size 20”. Also knows as the Cat’s Eye Nebula

 

«     BSO:

CR 399 - Open cluster in Vulpecula, magnitude 3.6, size 60’, ~40 stars. Also known as the Coat Hanger

IC 4756 - Open cluster in Serpens, magnitude 4.6, size 52.0’, ~80 stars.

NGC 6656 (M22) - Large Globular cluster, magnitude 5.2, size 32’.

NGC 6523 (M8) - Bright Nebula in Sagittarius, magnitude 5.0, size 50’ X 40’.

«     CDMP:

Perseids Meteor Shower This meteor shower has it’s maximum on August 13 @ 3:30 UT (August 12 @ 22:30). The only difficulty is the full Moon.

 

Mars’ closest approach this decade will be on Aug 28, 2003. It will be 0.373 AU away and have a diameter of 25.1".
